Sunshine Care was born out of a desire to do things differently. We saw families searching for care they could trust—and caregivers giving their all without the support they deserved.

So we built a home care agency where both could thrive.

From the beginning, our mission has been to bring warmth, consistency, and excellence into every home. By caring deeply for our caregivers, we’ve created a team that shows up with heart—and stays with heart. Today, Sunshine Care continues to grow, one meaningful relationship at a time.

Our Qualified Team


Prior to joining our team, every Sunshine Care caregiver undergoes:

  • A comprehensive criminal background and vulnerable sector check
  • Health clearances, including up-to-date immunizations, TB testing, and proof of COVID-19 vaccination
  • Professional reference checks
  • Completion of core health and safety training modules and assessments

After hiring, our caregivers:

  • Complete a thorough orientation and follow Sunshine Care’s Standards of Excellence
  • Are bonded and insured for your peace of mind
  • Are covered by WSIB for workplace injury protection
  • Are encouraged and supported to participate in continuous learning and professional development
